About Us

Established 2007

Logos Christian School, Maai Mahiu

Logos Christian School – Limuru, was founded in 2007 by Rick and Diana Wilson, missionaries from the USA.

It is in Limuru Constituency, Kiambu County, in Kenya.

At inception, then known as Jean Cornell Academy, it was run under Mayatima Project to offer quality education to HIV/ AIDS orphans in the community.

Talk of humble beginnings!

At the end of 2011, the school ceased operating and remained so through 2012.

It was reopened in 2013 as Cornell Preparatory Academy.

On 2nd May 2017, it was renamed Logos Christian School – Limuru, having come under the umbrella of the Nairobi Chapel.

It has since grown in leaps and bounds in infrastructure, programs, teaching/ learning activities and academic performance.

We look forward to tremendous growth in coming days. As we “Educate for life and eternity” – as our motto goes – we are convinced that our deliberate effort in this direction will, ultimately, culminate in visible transformation of the whole child who will later saturate their community with the learnt values, beliefs and faith in Christ Jesus.

Further, with quality education offered at this school, our learners will, hopefully, permeate the entire country from whichever corner God will decide to place them.

Then, slowly but steadily, by the grace of God, the entire community in which we have been placed will be transformed by the power of God that works in us for His glory.

Our Mission

Providing a nurturing and biblically based learning environment where learners develop their abilities and are equipped for effective, God-glorifying lives

Our Vision

To raise a generation of young people of excellence and of Godly Character

School Motto

Educating for life and eternity

Objectives

A leading Christian educational institution under the authority of Nairobi Chapel with community schools in Nairobi and major towns throughout Kenya offering relevant education to local communities and influencing the national curriculum for the nation.

Our Values

  • Logos Christian School asserts that the Word of God is the foundation of all learning.
  • Logos Christian School has an unapologetically Christian teaching ministry.
  • Staff are expected to creatively teach, nurture and disciple the children. Children ‘made in the image of God’ are encouraged to develop their faith, character, intellect and gifts

Spark

Logos firmly believes that every child is a reflection of God and is uniquely gifted and with this in mind, an emphasis is laid on developing godly character in children who have the SPARK of life.

Spiritual Development

Children should be bold and confident in life and their faith. These should be prayerful and able to clearly and confidently express themselves in defending and giving reason for their faith.

Psycho-Physical Development

Children should have godly values that dictate how they live their lives and the choices they make. Some critical values are; Passion, Responsibility, Independent thinking, Confidence, and Exemplariness. These should be taught and instilled and progress tracked throughout the year. Physical health is critical in the well-being of each child and Logos activities are intentionally designed to ensure the overall well-being of the learner.

‘K’ Community Impact

Children will be passionate about righteousness and will therefore be able to bring positive changes to society for the sake of God’s kingdom through Prayerfulness, Righteousness, Integrity, Critical thinking, Excellence/ Exemplariness(PRICE)

Academic Excellence

Children will be able to apply the things they learn in school outside the school because what they learn is meaningful

Relational IQ

Soft/ essential skills are critical for all to communicate, collaborate, and be effective and efficient. By learning to regulate their emotions or empathize with another, children develop people skills that are required for healthy living across all fields. With intentional discipleship-based staff interactions, children are dispensed with careful discipline, instruction, and guidance towards molding children who are rooted in their ways and have healthy relationships with peers. Authority and those they interact with daily.
